DESTINATION GUIDE

BEST TIMES TO VISIT

VISIT FROM MAY - OCTOBER

The best time to visit Peru is during the dry season between May and October, especially if you plan to go on a trek. If you are interested in trekking keep in mind that many trails close the month of February for maintenance. Dry season is also ideal to visit the Amazon as the water level is lower.

MACHU PICCHU

A WONDER OF THE MODERN WORLD

Whether you get there by foot or by train, Machu Picchu is a must do activity. Entering an abandoned Incan citadel constructed high up in the Andes Mountains in the 15th century is truly a remarkable experience. The construction of the dry, stone walls with perfectly carved, aligned huge blocks is impressive and is still a mystery to how it was built.

GASTRONOMY

HOME TO "WORLD'S BEST" RESTAURANTS

Latin American cuisine is unique based on the country, but Peru takes it to a whole new level. Peru prides itself on using ancient plants that the local indigenas used to cook with along with adding new and modern touches. There is a simpleness yet complexity in the ingredients and flavoring. From a simple grilled pollo a la brasa to a Tiradito with Ají Amarillo Leche de Tigre, everything is flavorful. The cuisine of Peru has it's own story.
